Betsy Cullen
A Boston based photographer who for years has developed a personal style of ethereal and evocative Black & White images from this country as well as Europe using infrared film. Iris and Giclée prints.

“I have always envied writers with their ability to thread words together in a simple and eloquent way. Finding the right words has never been easy for me. The images in this exhibit are part of a body of work that represent the words that I can’t always find and the feelings that I don’t always want to share. They are excerpts from my ever-evolving visual journal.
It is my hope that they speak to the viewer on an emotional level. Perhaps stirring up a mislaid memory of a place or a person, or simply a moment in time. I think it’s important to allow your self to be swept into an image on a visceral level. If it speaks to you, you’ll know it.”
